Not a Complete Failure

So we didn't get where we wanted to last week, it is the first time in six years that the weather has let us down to the extent that we didn't make it to Wells next the Sea during the bank holiday week.

It wasn't through lack of trying mind. We did head out on Sunday morning into the Wash but as you will see from the following short video conditions were not great and this was forecast to be the best weather of the week, so we made the decision to turn around and head back to the shelter of Boston.

The week bumbling around on the river gave us a chance to chill out and relax a little, after all a bad week on the boat is always better then a good week at work. We got a few little odd jobs sorted on the boat, fixed a few little niggling problems that raised their heads and had a chance to clear out the cupboards and lockers ready for next months trip to the Norfolk Broads. So not a complete failure of a week by any stretch of the imagination.

  2. Videos and pictures for that matter never show the true extent of the waves!

  3. We obviously all took the wrong week off. Peter's dad made it to Wells last Monday on flat calm sea's. He is on his mate's boat Skadi, unfortunately they are out of the webcam shot. Lets hope the summer holls in July and August bring better weather for us all xx

  4. Hope so. We are supposed to be going to the Broads at the end of July and Kings Lynn in August.

The way the weather is panning out so far this year we won't be making either!
