Wet It Now Forget It

I don't know about you but I like to do a job where I can see the results as I am doing the job?

I like to see that the effort I am putting in is going to some use.

So when we took all of the canopies off on Saturday and sponged on the Wet and Forget solution, and then hung them on the pontoon to drip dry, and then put them all back on the boat again to properly dry, I was somewhat dismayed to see that the green in the canopy seams was still present.

But of course the whole idea with this product is that you wet it and as the name suggests forget it. The product takes time to work it's magic and kill all of the mould and algae. We should start to see some improvement by the time we go back to the boat on Friday and then it should continually improve over the next few weeks.

I hate waiting for results. Hope it works now!

  1. I have used this on mine.
The green should go brown but you will need to swill it down a few times unless it rains, took about 3 weeks then a light scrub with the deck brush and water.
Best bit is it should not come back

  2. We are hoping to get a coat of Fabsil on it in a few weeks so hopefully it has done it's magic by then.

Not sure why we always leave these jobs to the last minute before we go away. It's always the same!

  4. A lot of people at BW have used it and are very impressed with it so we thought it about time we had a go with it. Has to be easier then scrubbing the hoods. You can just spray it on but we decided to take all of the hoods off and sponge it on to make sure that it got a good covering and got into all of the seams where most of the green was.

Fingers crossed it works. The it is time to get the Fabsil Gold on there ready for winter!
