With time steadily marching on we have to be getting sorted for going away on Friday, well Thursday really. Well, no thinking about it we have to have everything sorted by tomorrow evening as we will be leaving for the boat straight after work on Thursday.
Blimey. Time is running out.
Yesterday was a day of sorting paperwork and making sure that we have the required travel documents in order and getting some euros sorted out. The exchange rate was not brilliant but at least we won't have to be calculating what things are costing us given it was as near as damn it one pound to one euro!
Today it is time for the Mini to get some attention. Last week it had new discs and brake pads all round. Today it is having it's news alloy wheels and tyres fitted and a few odd jobs that need doing to the interior. Liam needs to strip the drivers door down and find out what is catching the glass and there is a part of the drivers door interior that need sticking back on properly. Then tonight we need to start loading some of the required items into the car. High vis vests, warning triangle, breath testers, spare bulbs, etc. Not sure where it is all going to fit but I'm sure we will find some cubby holes for it all.
We should perhaps have decided to take the bigger car!
Sierra road trip!
ReplyDeleteThe Sierra is looking very sorry for itself in the garage at the moment. We really do need to get it out next year!
ReplyDeleteDo the modern minis have storage space under the back seats, pockets either side of the back seat and pockets in the doors? Used to love the challenge of packing our early 70s model for 2 adults and 2 children to go away!
ReplyDeleteIt does have lots of little cubby holes and storage areas. In fact in many ways the interior does give a nod to that of the old minis with open style door pockets front and back.
ReplyDeletePretty sure we will manage to get everything in.
