Burton Waters had a bit of a strange visitor this weekend. A floating caravan, no really, a Caraboat arrived for a quick dip. It certainly made for a strange spectacle.
The idea of a small trailable boat seems like a good idea, but in practice the Caraboat doesn't have the graceful lines that I expect a boat to have. I suppose they made it caravan like to maximise the space in as shorter length as possible, but to my eye it doesn't work. How did it handle in the water?
Saw this on the visitors mooring in Lincoln on Saturday but didn't realize ehat it was

ReplyDeleteYes. There was an amphibious car down in Brayford Pool over the weekend as well.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to handle just fine. Had a little 6hp outboard engine which seemed to propel it along quite nicely. Turned on a six pence.
