Now we have the task of making some new plans for our summer holiday. We are on Plan C now. We must be running out of different plans by now!
So Plan C is the Norfolk Broads. It will be strange for us turning up by road and not by sea. So first up is choosing the slipway. We think we have settled on the slipway at Sutton Staithe. Ideal for nipping around to Stalham to stock up the boat from the very handily located Tesco supermarket and the excellent butchers on the high street.
We don't need to plan too much more for this break really. We know the Broads fairly well and we will just potter around for the two weeks. We know it will be super busy at it is the school holidays so we won't make any concrete plans and will just amble along until we find somewhere nice to stop for the afternoon or evening.
Suggest Plan D - the River Nene and Fens - really nice and not crowded. Love your dog, I changed from dogs to Siamese cats a few years ago, more like dogs than cats, very vocal they are great company. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteWe did the Great Ouse a few years back. It was lovely but we much prefer the Broads. Even though it will be busy we will still enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSyd is a real character. Not overly vocal though.
