To The Trent

We have decided that this weekend we will be having a quiet one. Well we don't have much choice in that matter actually as most of our friends we normally cruise with are going away so won't be around for the next couple of weekends.

So looking for a nice quiet location we have decided that we will head to Dunham Bridge on the tidal Trent for the weekend. We have discovered that from here we can walk along the flood bank on the opposite side of the river to the lovely Ferry Boat at Church Laneham. This will make a pleasant walk for Sydney and us tomorrow afternoon and then if the weather holds we will walk back in time for a BBQ on the pontoon.

This is usually a very quiet spot as hardly anyone decides they are going to stop out on the tidal river.
