After a long summer of excesses we have both decided it is time to get back on the waggon and start with the healthy eating once again.
Surprisingly after the first time on the scales in a while last night I had not put on too many pounds, despite not really watching what we are eating for several months now. It seems that once you are into the healthier eating pattern then even when you are not trying to lose weight you still make healthier choices regardless.
This week will be our first full proper week back on the game. And if last winters weight loss is anything to go by it shouldn't be much more then two or three weeks before we are both back down to the weight at which we started the summer binge.
I will be happy with that.
Well you certainly inspired me, lost a few pounds also, not a massive amount but every bit helps.
ReplyDeleteOur eldest daughter has turned veggie (sigh) so I am making some chickpea and sweetcorn burgers tomorrow, and a 3 bean Mexican chilli from bbc good food for Saturday. Absolutely dreading xmas, hope I can buy a good substitute for her, although beef is still on our menu xx
We have broken with tradition and are going out for Christmas dinner this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will conjure something up. Stuffed mushrooms are good for starters. Nut roast for mains perhaps? Or bean cassulet.
Chick pea and sweet potato curry is nice. Although perhaps not for Christmas dinner!
