It seems to have taken a long time to come around but at long last the bank holiday weekend is here.
For the extended weekend we have a Motley Crew of assorted boats heading upstream on the Trent to Newark and perhaps beyond.
Tonight will be the all too familiar run from Burton Waters to Torksey, hopefully arriving at the White Swan in time to enjoy a nice pub lunch and have a couple of cheeky pints in preparation for the mornings tide upstream to Cromwell. At least it isn't a stupidly early tide this time, 8.00-8.30am is a nice time and should see us moored up in Newark by lunchtime.
