Westward Bound

You can tell the weekend is here again as the weather has taken another downturn with heavy rain, squally winds and thunder and lightening galore.

This weekend will be our last weekend down at the boat for a few weeks, unusually for us. So we have planned a little weekend jaunt to West Stockwith to give Cal a chance to stretch her legs before her little break.

We always enjoy a visit to West Stockwith. It is a pleasant and friendly village with a choice of good pubs to visit. We plan to eat at The White Hart if we can squeeze in and then the Yacht Club have a band on later in the evening. So this has all the makings of a good weekend.

  1. Hi Rachael,
I just wanted to say how much I'm loving your blog. I haven't read it all yet but I'm doing a fair sized chunk every day. We live in Farndon and have been looking for our first boat since we moved here a year and a half ago, we just haven't found the right one yet. It's been massively helpful to read about your adventures and it's certainly opened my eyes to just how much maintenance is required. I love the recipes too, I'm always looking for new ideas. Thank you for sharing your travels.
    Jane :)

  2. Thank you.

It's nice to hear that someone reads my ramblings!

You have reminded me that I have not posted a recipe of a long while. Perhaps this winter when we are not cruising so much I will add a few more.
