Passports Again

And so we find ourselves messing around with passport applications once again. It was only this time last year that we were filling in forms for mine and Liams passports. This year it is Sydney who needs his passport applying for.

We had planned to leave this until the new year to keep as much time as possible on the rabies vaccination. This one expires after three years so needs a booster every three years so with the passport application taking less then a month to sort out we were hoping to not have to do this until February or March time in time for our holiday in April.

However we received an email from Euro Tunnel yesterday to say that the latest Defra advice is that if Brexit leads to a no deal then travel for pets could become slightly more complicated and the Rabies vaccine would need to be administered at least four months prior to travel and a blood test taken 21 days prior to travel.

So with this in mind we have Sydney booked in to the vets for his passport application and rabies vaccination next Tuesday evening. He is not going to be a happy bunny that evening!
