We knew that our paths were likely to cross with Wand'ring Bark and Montgomery the Jam Butty this weekend as we knew that they were heading up the Trent. We were keen to meet them and actually put some faces to names but also to buy some of their jam and chutney.
So knowing that they were moored in Torksey Lock cut overnight on Saturday we decided to leave Dunham Bridge early on the last of the ebb tide so that we would see them in the lock cut before they left on the flood tide heading to Cromwell.
Our timing couldn't have been much better as we pulled into the lock cut at just about low water. We had just enough time for a quick chat and to buy some produce before they had to head off with the tide. It was lovely meeting you guys and I'm sure our paths will cross again. We will make sure we have some of the chutney in Coltishall in a few weeks.
