We had a decent crowd for our first group outing of the year, nine boats in total and a gaggle of caravans and camper vans on the campsite at the pub.
A big thank you has to be said to the staff and owners at The Waterside who stepped in at the last minute to ensure that all 40 odd of us were fed and watered. We will certainly be back again and thank you for your hospitality.
All of the boats put in a faultless performance, quite unusual for such a large group. Naughty-Cal proved to be in fine fettle leading the way for group.It isn't long now until our first extended break of the year at Easter. This time we are heading up the Trent to Newark and beyond.
