Norfolk & Suffolk 2016 - Part 3

Day Five
Surlingham to Acle
29 Miles

 Leaving Surlingham Ferry

 Heading down river.

 Approaching Reedham Swing Bridge.

The reeds give way to salt marshes.

 Wind pumps on the banks.

 Almost on Breydon.

Breydon Water. Too many hire boats to plane across today.

 Through Great Yarmouth.

Stokesby Ferry for a quick dinner time pint.

 Stokesby Village Green.

 The Bridge Inn  at Acle.

Day Six
Acle to Coltishall
18 Miles
155 Litres of Diesel @ £1.10pl  from Horizon Craft.

Heading upstream and the river is starting to get busy.

 Past St Bennets Abbey.

 Through pretty Horning village.

It is really getting busy now.

 Heading further upstream.

 Wroxham.

A busy scene at the bridge but not enough headroom for us to get under yet.

Tucked up in the Barnes Brinkcraft yard waiting for the tide to drop a little.

 Through the bridge.

 Heading upstream.

 Pretty river scenes.

 A convoy of hire boats.

 Almost there.

Prime spot on the green at Coltishall.
