The Fens 2015 - Part 2

Part 2
The Tidal Great Ouse, 100ft Drain & Non Tidal Great Ouse to St Ives

 Off up the tidal river.

Lovely ruined church on the river bank.

 Passing Denver Sluice.

 On the 100ft Drain.

Still on the 100ft Drain, possibly the most boring stretch of river in the world.

Finally at Earith to pick up a visitors licence.

 Lovely wooded section of river.

Our first glimpse of St Ives.

Under the St Ives Town Bridge.

Moored in the Waits for our first evening on the Fens.

St Ives to Huntingdon and back to St Ives.

In The Waits, waiting to head upstream.

 Dinghy ride through the backwaters.

 Heading up river.

Liam wasn't over;y impressed by the beam of the lock entrances!

 Pretty wooded section of river.

 Cruising under stormy skies.

 Huntingdon Park mooring.

Lovely Huntingdon Bridge and converted warehouse.

 Back to St Ives.

Moored on the Town Quay waiting for the lock to reopen. To give the EA some credit where it is due the lock was open early.
