We came across a shop (Heron Foods), selling off the Just Maggie papaya paper packs cheap at the weekend so decided to try some. They were selling them two packs, each pack containing four sheets for £1, which is cheaper than most supermarkets sell one packet for. So we decided to try a couple of packs.
I have to say that I was very impressed with the result, and not only that but the cooking process was so easy and mess free. Simply wrap your chicken breast, or any other meat for that matter it doesnt have to be chicken, in the sheet of papaya paper and fry in a large frying pan on a low heat. No oil is required as the chicken cooks in its own juices within the papaya paper parcel.
The result was a perfectly cooked, perfectly flavoured, juicy chicken breast and a clean frying pan and hob, which pleased the OH no end when it came to washing up time.
We served ours here with fresh rice and a selection of fresh vegetables but equally it could have been with jacket potatoes, chips or loaded potato skins and a fresh salad.
We will certainly be picking some more of these sheets up both for at home and on the boat as they are so simple to use yet produce a really nice meal, quickly and easily. A good find indeed. We can also recommend the Just Maggie cook in a bag range as we have used these many times before, but you need an oven for those so it is a no go for us on the boat at the moment as the oven has gone home for the summer.
