We have put
our heads together again and come up with a Plan C for the upcoming Bank
Holiday weekend. Plan C will be a run down the Trent and back up the Ouse
heading for Goole then on to Pollington for a curry. The following day we will
head back again finishing up at Torksey, hopefully in time for a steak pie at
the White Swan. Then it will be an amble back up the ditch and back to the
marina on Monday.
This is
quite an adventurous trip for a Bank Holiday weekend with not a lot of room for
error. It will involve spending a fair amount of time on both Saturday and
Sunday out on the tidal waters of the Trent and Ouse, with plenty of time at
anchor. On Sunday there will be plenty of time for a quick run down to the
Humber Bridge for a few pictures and a chance to let Cal stretch her leg again.
158 miles
for a curry. Sounds a bit mad but I’m sure it will be worth it.
