Washing a Mountain

As our Broadland cruise was so stupidly hot we didn't have the need to find a laundrette part way through the holiday to wash our clothing. We were only wearing shorts and light tops so we made do with washing them out in the sink and hanging them on the rails to dry, which really didn't take long in the heat we enjoyed.

All of this does mean though that I do have rather more washing to catch up on this week then I would normally have after a two week break on the boat. It does feel as though I am attempting to wash a mountain.

The first lot was washed and hung to dry last night. The second lot will be done tonight and then for good measure there will be a load to do tomorrow night. It seems never ending at the moment.

Back to Work

We stretched the holiday out as long as we possibly could by staying at the boat last night but there was no way we could slow down the 5.30am alarm this morning.

The holiday was officially over. Back to normality and back to work.

The usual mountain of paper work was awaiting me this morning at my desk but I am steadily ploughing my way through it all. I'm sure I will catch up at some point this week!

Tonight it is a visit to the vets for Sydney as his dew claw is all inflamed again. No doubt it will mean forcing more tablets down the poor dogs throat!

Back to Base

Naughty-Cal is now tucked up on her home mooring cleaned up and ready for her next outing at the weekend.

She can now take a well earned rest.

Home Safe

Naughty-Cal is home safe in Lincoln again. After a quick pit stop on our home mooring for showers and a water top up we are now in Saxilby for a few beers and a pizza.

Waiting

We are currently moored at Sutton Staithe waiting for our lift home.

Last Day

It is our last full day on the Broads today. The last couple of weeks have flown by.

We look set to have another hot day. Today we plan to spend the day pottering around the Barton Broad area.

We are currently at Neatishead Staithe for a breakfast stop and will shortly be moving on. Possibly to Wayford Bridge for a beer before hopefully heading to Stalham Staithe for the evening.

Beautiful Evening

We had a beautiful evening at St Bennets Abbey last night. Today it is on to Potter Heigham to see if we can get through that bridge.

If not Plan B is to hire a day boat and head up through that bridge for a half day.
