Stocked Up

We paid a visit to the farm, Highwoods Rare Breeds, on Friday evening to stock up with fantastic Berkshire pork sausages and smoked bacon to take away with us. We couldn't possibly take enough to last us the whole 16 days we are away but we should have enough to last us for the first week anyway. Hopefully we will find a nice butchers along the way to stock up as we are on our travels.

We also stocked up with other essentials such as beer, toilet roll, kitchen roll, etc. All the useful stuff that you can never find when you run out. We have ensured we have refilled the spare gas bottle, again something that always runs out at the wrong moment, usually midway through the morning coffee! The diesel tank is full, I just need to fill the water tank on Friday and give Cal a good scrub whilst Liam is at work and then we are good to go.

The tide times look good for us to get out of Torksey Lock on Friday evening and spend the evening in the cut waiting for the tide on Saturday morning to take us down to Trent End and onto Grimsby later in the day.

It's getting close now. We have not been this excited about going away on the boat for a long time!
