Broken

The fridge finally gave up it's valliant efforts to stay alive over the weekend, so yesterday evening we decided to unplug it and chuck it outside on the driveway until we get back from holiday. With only a couple of days to go before we go away there isn't even time to order the new one and get it delivered before we go away.

So for the next couple of days we are minus a place to keep anything cold. A real delve back in time and not quite so easy as we thought it was going to be.

It was perhaps a little easier when the milkman delivered you a pint of milk every day. Well now the milk round is all but gone heading to the shop once a day for milk is proving a chore so it is black tea or coffee and instant porridge for breakfast.

It is only for a couple of days though so business as usual before long.

  1. These pesky fridges know the most inconvenient time to give up the ghost.

We bought our last one from Ao.com as the local independent stockists have all disappeared. (Thank goodness DH is retiring in November and going to the warehouse type places at hopefully quieter times will be easier.) I only use my very basic mobile phone for emergencies and very few people have the number. After I gave the number to Ao I started to get spam texts before the fridge was even delivered, so be warned if you use them. Delivery and so on was fine, but those texts are still coming months later and are very annoying.

  2. Will think about where we get a new one from when we get back from Norfolk.
