Sorted

With the arrival of Liam's passport yesterday, a full day ahead of it's scheduled delivery according to the message received from DX Delivery, we are now all sorted for ID for the next ten years. It has been a bit of a long winded process this time, for Liam anyway, but hopefully the next time will be a quick and easy process as they will all just be simple renewals.

Now with our travel documents in order we can start to look forward to our holidays for next year starting with the mini cruise to Amsterdam in March. This was the main reason for the last months flurry of paperwork and making sure we didn't leave getting our passports until the last minute knowing that Liam was likely to be required to attend an interview. Now with the process over and done with we can relax a little and start some holiday planning instead.

  1. Natalie had hers posted yesterday also. We can all rest assured we are all fully fledged British Citizens now, and can open a bank account without having to provide every bit of paperwork under the sun. Bet you can't wait for the cruise, looks lovely over there.

  2. It won't be long now before the cruise. Seemed a long way away when we were first mulling it over but it is only a few months away now!

Looking forward to the boat hire in Brittany as well in October.

It is nice to know we have no official paperwork to mess about with for another ten years. Trouble is it all comes together then with passports and driving licences!

    1. Myself and Peter still have old paper licences, but Laura having recently passed her test is on the new one. It's good to know that when the passports and Laura's licence need renewing we only have to pay to renew ours as the kids should both be working and supporting themselves by then...or is that wishful thinking? Brittany sounds very nice also. Won't be long for you in once xmas is out of the way, time will fly by.

    2. Definitely wishful thinking!

The driving licences were not too bad other than form filling. Think they were £17 to renew. My licence has always been photocard. Liam had the paper one but it was renewed to a photocard when we moved house so he could get his expired points removed.
